Patchwork Please Pincushion

Another Patchwork Please project!

I have been seeing these all over instagram and i just LOVE them. It was sort of a trial process, but I probably should have picked more contrasting colors for the pin cushion. I’m pretty happy with it overall though, makes me think mid century modern. I used Melody Miller scraps of the radios and typewriters in turquoise and Architextures. It calls for polyfil but I didn’t have any so I basically used most of my remaining crushed walnut shells. Which I love in pincushions. I should have used a bigger button, but I only had size 20 for covers. I’m really happy with the accidental perfect placement of the ‘M’ on the button.
I’m not to familiar with actual construction methods of these types of projects; typically I stick with flat quilts! I found the directions to be so simple and it came together easy and fast.
